I was born in New Jersey and graduated from Brown University (BA) and Harvard University (MA). I've lived in Kentucky since 1980. I am 54 years old and have three children, one daughter age 20 and two sons ages 18 and 15. My DH, an attorney, and I have been married for over 30 years. I used to be a technical writer, but I've been homeschooling (and thus staying at home) since 1993. I'm a deacon in my church and a faithful blood donor (have 20 gallons to date). I love exercising, travelling, reading, and listening to lectures from The Teaching Company. I also love my four cats (Zack, Jake, Noah, and Lacey), my one-eyed beagle Yoshi, and my cockatiel Ozzie. My secret vices are cashews, eating peanut butter out of the jar, and watching stupid TV reality shows
